So, here I am, first day on T. Doing the injection rather than the topical because of cost and insurance, no big surprise there. Dr. J, the pharmacist and the nurse were all awesome! I pretty much found Dr. J through the grapevine, which really goes to show how much being part of the community pays off, not to mention all the support and awesome people. The pharmacist sees a lot of trans people coming through because of the proximity to Dr. J's, and don'chya know, he was the first person to ask if I'd rather have my gender marked as male? Even the refferal letter from my psych had 'she' and 'her' all over it.
Anyway, I can't say that I feel terribly much different yet, but then it's only been about an hour and a half, so, yeah. The shot itself was surprisingly painless; didn't even really feel it. Right now I'm on Delatestryl 200mg/mL at 1mL every two weeks. I'll update everytime I get an injection, which ought to give a good, steady idea of my progress. In the meantime, here's a picture of me right now, day 1.
